The many delicious meat shops in the area are a remnant of this. ◎This tour will touch on the hidden charm of Osaka's manufacturing from the perspective of the Japanese confectionery culture and leather industry.

●Overview: Making traditional Japanese confectionery (wagashi) while unraveling the history. ●Duration: 2h Japanese confectionery, known as the art of the five senses, uniquely expresses the four seasons through sweets. At this confectionery store, you can learn how imported sugar was considered precious and the tradition cultivated through the tea ceremony culture created by Sen no Rikyu.

Kikusui Sangyo

●Overview: Visiting the workshop, a lecture on the material, Kawachi wood, and making toothpicks while enjoying kuromoji tea and Japanese confectionery. ●Duration: 2h Toothpicks are indispensable for Japanese confectionery. Since its founding in 1960, Kikusui Sangyo has been manufacturing toothpicks in Kawachinagano City. The area was initially a region that developed as a production area for Kuromoji picks and toothpicks because many trees such as Kuromoji and Utsugi, the raw materials for toothpicks, grew naturally. Discover its long history, such as how the Kuromoji picks have been a part of tea ceremonies for centuries.

"Watedama Okashi" is a beanbag brand that replicates the look of Japanese sweets with delicate sewing techniques.

●Overview: Experience the shoemaking process and making of small leather goods ●Duration: 2h Not far from Osaka's tourist attraction 'Tsūtenkaku,' is Naniwa Ward, a commercial area like Namba and Shinsaibashi, that has developed as a leather industry town since ancient times. International Shoes was founded in the area in 1954. The company has established itself as a women's shoemaker and has created shoes for high-end brands around Japan and overseas.
